34 week update
Sorry about the jump in photos, forgot to take 32 and 33 week pics. I really don't think I change much from week to week but maybe you'll think differently. Everything is going well. She is still kicking and moving like crazy. She has decided that night time is the time to be awake and she sleeps all day. Mother like daughter?:) Well only 6 weeks to go! Due date is Feb. 1st, Mom thinks I will have her on Jan 24. if you have any other guesses send me an email or a text.

31 weeks
Only 9 weeks to go! I can't believe it is down to only two months, where did the time go? Well, we just had another ultra sound done. You can check out all her wonderful pics. They figure she weighs about 4 lbs 1oz. I think she has the biggest cheeks ever, and I think she has my nose. She is doing fine and is actually big for her "age". She is always moving and kicking. And she seems to have the hiccups a lot.
I went to the hospital again on the Sunday after Thanksgiving. I was having contractions (again). We were there only 2 1/2 hours and it only required one shot of Tributylene. Mom and I are going to be pros at this by the time it's D-day. Baby was fine during the whole thing, she does not like to have the monitors on her though, she kicks and moves so much it makes it difficult to keep her heartbeat on the monitor. She was getting the nurses a little frustrated. Since I still have contractions when I move and do things I am on bed rest. I can get up and do things for myself but the minute the contractions start I have to lay down. It is getting very boring. Oh well, I will do what I have to to keep her inside for a few more months.

Adventures at 30 weeks
I got my first glimpse of contractions this past Sat and Sun (nov. 23-24). All day on Sat. I kept having a few every hour, never had more than 3. But I did call the doctor (just in case) and she said if I get more than four to go into the hospital. Well at 10:30pm Sunday they started up pretty good and I was feeling 5-6 an hour. So mom and I trecked to the hospital. They hooked me up to a monitor to see if I was having contractions and how many. We were surprised when the nurse said they were coming every 2-6 min. Obviously I did not feel every one of those. I really only felt the "bigger" ones. They didn't hurt, just made me have to pee a lot. They also had a fetal heart monitor set up so they could see if the baby was fine. Of course she was perfect, except for the fact she kept kicking and moving and made it very difficult to keep her heart beat on the monitor. She is definately a mover, I personally think she was showing off but what do I know. But she was never under any stress or had any problems during the entire ordeal. They ended up giving me 3 shots of tributylene (I believe that is what they called it) to help stop the contractions. They also found that I have a bladder infection, and did you know that a bladder infection can cause contractions. Well I didn't and that is what caused all this fun. So they got them under control and mom and I were back home by 5am. I am now on antibiotics and am taking it easy for the rest of the day. Hopefully this will be the last adventure to the hospital until it is the real thing at 40 weeks!

29 weeks
We've made it to 29 weeks! I had an ultra sound on Sept 30th, baby weighed 1 lb 2 oz at that time. I had another one on Oct. 28 and she weighed 2 lbs 6oz, so she is right on track. Everything looks good and no worries yet. We are still going to have an ultra sound every month till she is born just to make sure she is still growing appropriately. Baby is kicking and moving all the time. She really doesn't care what time of day. She really likes to use my bladder as a trampoline (or it feels like it anyways). No one has actually been able to feel her move, since any time they put their hand on my stomache she stops moving (I think she is playing a game called let's make mommy a liar). Nana Dot is convinced that is the case:) Well, only 11 weeks to go and I am super excited, nervous, and every emotion in between. I can't wait to finally get to meet her!!

Need to fix my mistake, the umbillical cord is suppose to have 2 arteries and one vein. Sorry I had it backwards. Anyways, after some research on the internet we found some good news and some bad. But that is to be expected. A lot of the good news is that she will be fine and there will be no complications. A few of the bad things are: low birth weight, premature birth, difficulties during birth (ending with a c-section), there is just so much information out there that is it hard not to worry. But since my doctor knows about it and they plan on ultrasounds every month and probably more tests throughout the rest of my pregnancy, I am going to try and keep a positive attitude. I will try to keep this updated with any new news that I get.

22 weeks again
I forgot to add that I can feel her moving now. I just thought it was gas at first, but she was very insistent. It is a weird feeling now that I know it is her. She moves a lot. I swear she is doing cartwheels and backflips sometimes. It will be interesting once she can really pack a punch and a kick. I probably won't find it as funny. Oh well. I know she is a mover, everytime I go to the doctor they check her heartbeat and they have trouble pinning her down just to get it. She's just feisty like her mom.
22 weeks
I know it has been awhile since I have updated this. Sorry about that. Everything is going pretty well. I had my 20 week ultra sound done about 2 weeks ago. I found out it's a girl! They couldn't see her very well so I had another ultra sound done again today. She looks absolutely beautiful. They did find a problem though. She looks fine, but there is a problem with the umbillical cord. A normal one has 3 vessals, 2 veins and 1 artery. The problem with mine is that it only has 2 vessals. One vein and one artery. I haven't done the research yet so I am not positive the effects this can have on her. The doctor said it is something they have to watch so I am going to have an ultrasound done once a month to make sure she is still growing and developing appropriately. Right now she looks good, she weighs 1lb 2oz. I will post more information as I get it. For now I am going to post all of her ultra sound pictures starting with her super early ones. So enjoy and know that I have only 4 mos to go!

Week 13
Fingerprints have formed and it's veins and organs are clearly visible through it'a still-thin skin, and babies body is starting to catch up with the head. The external sex structures of a girl can be clearly distinguished from those of a boys. Baby can also move its thumb and fingers. I can push on my abdomen and the baby will respond to it, I just still can't feel him/her moving. Baby is practicing inhaling and exhaling. The palate is completed and the sucking muscles are filling out the cheeks. The larynx, esophogus and windpipe are all present. Over the next several days the baby will begin to make breathing, sucking and swallowing motions. (that is so cool). Now I may be off on some of this information, don't take it as gospel. The baby is 3 inches long and weighs almost an ounce, that is so tiny. The length is relative to the size of a medium shrimp.
Week 12
July 21-27. Well the baby has grown a lot since week 11. The vocal cords have started to form. 20 of the teeth and their sockets have formed in the gums. The liver has started to secrete bile and the pancreas has begun to make insulin. Pretty neat huh? The eyes have finally moved to the front of the head and the baby's face looks more human (yippee). The baby is just over 2 inches long, about the size of a lime and weighs half an ounce. As for me, I am still tired and naseaus a lot.

Week 11
Well I have been in Florida for a few weeks now. I am tired and nauseous a lot of the time. Not sure if it is the heat or what, but I am definately ready to been done with both. I only have 2 weeks left of the first trimester, and then only 6mos to go. That seems like a long time, but I am betting it will go relatively fast. For those of who that have had a kid keep the laughter to yourself:) Now that I finally have this blog set up, I will try to keep you up to date. Check back for pics and more updates.
